The Greene County Ram volleyball team won one game and lost four at the Roland-Story tournament Sept. 23 in Story City.
Scores against Madrid were 1-21, 13-21. Scores against Newton were 21-15, 17-21, 12-15.
“In every match we seem to stay right with most teams, but those little errors at critical times catch us in the end,” said coach Donna Carhill. “We had points in the match where we served aggressively and ran a successful offense. It just wasn’t enough in the end to win the match.”
Samantha Hardaway served at 20 for 21 with one ace and had nine kills and 14 digs. Chantel Flack served at 13 for 13 and had eight digs, and Sophia Havens served at 22 of 24 with three aces. Megan Durbin had 13 kills and Aubrey Heupel had 21 assists.
